He was a painter, a cartoonist, a surgeon, a musician, author, he owned a movie theatre, he opened the Birthplace of Hockey Heritage Museum in Windsor, and sailed in the Merchant Navy. When I look at that list I sometimes feel like I am describing the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man In the world, but nope, that was my Grandfather.
He was also a quiet man with a kind and gentle demeanour, he loved his dogs and being in nature, and a good tune on the fiddle.
Garth is one of my main inspirations in this whole project. You will see some obvious connections like his art through out the store, website and social media accounts. But his influence is deeper than that, his name serves as a reminder that there is beauty in everything and there is no limit to what you can do if you pursue your passions and are willing to share them with the world around you.
